June 18, 2019: J. Edgar Hoover Foundation Dissolution
The Directors of the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation have resolved that the ends of justice require
that the Foundation be dissolved hereafter. The stated purpose of the Foundation has been
successfully adhered to and faithfully followed over the past 55 years of its existence.

October 11, 2018: National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington DC opens, including the J. Edgar Hoover Research Center
The National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, DC offically opened to the public at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 11, 2018. The J. Edgar Hoover Foundation generously funded the J. Edgar Hoover Research Center within the Museum. The opening drew hundreds of attendees from across the country. Remarks were kicked off by renowned actor Clint Eastwood who has served as the honorary chairman of the fundraising campaign for the Museum. William D. Branon, Chairman of the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation also attended the opening.
August 9, 2018: J. Edgar Hoover Foundation provides endowment grant to San José State University
The Foundation provided an endowment grant to the Tower Foundation of San José State University, for the purpose of awarding The J. Edgar Hoover Foundation Leadership Scholarship to students. Mr. Hoover dedicated his life to promoting excellence in law enforcement and was committed to a belief in meritocracy through higher education.
August 26, 2016: J. Edgar Hoover Foundation provides endowment grant to the Former Special Agents of the FBI Foundation
The Foundation provided an endowment grant to the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI Foundation, for the purpose of awarding The J. Edgar Hoover Foundation Leadership Scholarship to students who are the children and/or grandchildren of regular and associated members of the Society. The J. Edgar Hoover Foundation is committed to promoting the legacy of Mr. Hoover through a recognition of the ideals and values for which he stood. These include leadership, justice, and democracy.
